Ni no Kuni launching Q1 2013

Plenty of gamers have been keeping their eyes peeled for any news regarding the launch of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The game, which was developed by Level-5 and features art by famed anime company Studio Ghibli, looks to provide a wonderful RPG experience rife with a compelling story and beautiful visuals.

Up until now, though, we had no clue when Ni no Kuni was going to launch in North America. It seemed as though we would get it this year, but no one was certain. It looks like we now have a slight idea as to when we can expect the game, because Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino made a major announcement regarding the game's launch.

Both North America and Europe will be getting Ni no Kuni sometime during the first quarter of 2013. On the one hand, it's insane to think that we have to wait that much time to finally play the game. On the other hand, at least we have an idea as to when we can get our hands on the darn thing.

Hino also explained that Ni no Kuni was originally started as a project meant to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Level-5. It was the company's intention to utilize a Ghibli-esque art style, and shortly after development began, the awesome animation company joined up with Level-5. Composer Joe Hisaishi was then assigned to work on the soundtrack.

Q1 2013 couldn't come soon enough.
