After a long time of waiting and waiting (and then waiting some more), Xenoblade Chronicles has finally launched in North America. The much-desired Wii RPG from developer Monolith Soft has made its way to our side of the planet, and I personally could not be more stoked.

At first, it seemed as though we weren't going to get the game over here, but after the support for Xenoblade Chronicles was shown by both Operation Rainfall and the legions of Wii-owning RPG fans, Nintendo of America ultimately decided to release the game in our region.

Now here we are, on "Xenoblade Chronicles Day." I picked up my copy this morning at GameStop, where it's being sold exclusively. You can also snag a special bundle that includes the game and a black Classic Controller Pro at ShopNintendo.

If you're a fan of RPGs, I would highly suggest you pick this one up. For starters, Xenoblade Chronicles has received a bunch of praise. Aside from that, though, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we want more games like this on Nintendo consoles, so we should show our support.

I haven't had time to play on account of my lovely job requiring me to, well, work. But you better believe I'm going to bed late tonight. I also don't intend on interacting with any of my peers over the weekend, because social interaction is so overrated.

It's a great day to be an RPG fan.
