NewsFable novelization At the Edge of the World announced
Random House and Prima Games are recording the events set between Fable III and Fable: The Journey in a first-time novel, Fable: At the Edge of the World. The book, due out this August from New York Times bestselling author Christie Golden, will introduce a new product line adapted from the popular video game series.
“The Fable canon—the stories, characters and gameplay that we’ve crafted for many years, is near and dear to the hearts of our loyal fans and the employees at Lionhead Studios,” said Gareth Sutcliffe, business manager for developer Lionhead Studios. “We believe Random House Worlds will do an excellent job representing our storied franchise and creating assets our fans will find highly valuable.”
A second novel is planned, along with multiple digital shorts (available on all major platforms), a comprehensive world bible, and a strategy guide for Fable: The Journey.
Peter David will pen the digital shorts according to the following schedule:
FABLE: REAVER – May 2012
FABLE: JACK OF BLADES – May 2012
FABLE: THERESA– June 2012
Details regarding the second novel will be released in the coming months.
