Harmonix has announced Rock Band Blitz, the latest game in the series—no instruments required.

The title is scheduled for this summer on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. It comes with 25 songs, also playable in Rock Band 3. All imported and downloaded Rock Band songs on the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles can be transferred to Rock Band Blitz for use, as well.

Rock Band Blitz features deployable power-ups, fast-paced gameplay, and competitive multiplayer.
