NewsAmazon Instant Video now available on PS3
Amazon Instant Video is now available on the PlayStation Network, offering PS3 users instant access to thousands of streaming and downloadable movies and TV shows for rental or purchase.
The PlayStation 3 is the first and only video game console to offer this new service which makes more than 120,000 commercial-free movies and TV shows available for rental or purchase, including new releases, classic favorites, major TV shows, full seasons and even new episodes of some of your favorite TV shows the day after they air. Many DVDs and Blu-Ray titles on Amazon.com are also offered on Amazon Instant Video through this app.
In addition, Amazon Prime members will also be able to watch as many of the more than 17,000 Prim Instant Videos as you want, for no additional cost. If you aren't yet an Amazon Prime Member, you can try the free 30-day trial or just sign up for $79 a year.
To download the Amazon Instant Video app on PS3, head over to the TV/Video Services category on the XMB and you can download and install the new app right there for free.
