NewsBattlefield 3 'shortcut items' on sale now for PS3
Earlier today DICE released a massive Battlefield 3 update for PlayStation 3. The 1GB, 1.04 patch contained a slew of bug fixes and tweaks, introduced "Rent a Server", and added a 5-flag Conquest Assault variant on Wake Island for PS3. Perhaps the most useful additions, at least for newcomers, are the different shortcut items now available.
DICE is offering 10 different shortcut items for sale for Battlefield 3 on PS3. The shortcuts - available for purchase either in-game or the online PlayStation store - give players immediate access to normally locked weapons, vehicles, or weapon add-ons.
As revealed on the game's official blog, the shortcuts include:
- Kit Shortcut Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items unique to the four playable classes
- Vehicle Shortcut Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items for all vehicles
- The Ultimate Bundle: Immediately unlocks all items from all other available shortcut packs
You can check out all of the other changes that came to the PS3 in today's update here. DICE has said more information on the Xbox 360 and PC patch will "come soon".
