NewsAngry Birds Space soars past Draw Something as top-selling app on iOS
Rovio Mobile's Angry Birds Space has been available for download less than a day now, but it's already toppled Draw Something, whose developer social games leader Zynga acquired for $210 million yesterday. The latest installment in the Angry Birds series—out today for iOS, Android, PC, and Mac—now ranks first in the iTunes App Store.
OMGPOP's Draw Something (for iOS, Android, and Facebook) previously held the number one spot for paid apps on iOS, passing 30 million downloads in a brief six-week period.
The Angry Birds series altogether has hit over 700 milliion downloads since its debut three years ago.
Angry Birds Space costs $0.99 for iPhone and iPod touch and $2.99 for iPad. PC retail copies will follow shortly.
