Latest NBA 2K12 roster update includes trade deadline move

Well, the trade deadline has passed, and 2K Sports has updated their rosters to portray the recent changes to teams like the Lakers, Rockets, and Trailblazers.  Even the Greg Oden release is in the game — you can find him in free agency, or in his camera phone in the folder "nude pics in front of mirror."

Here are the notable changes:

  • Bucks roster includes: G Monta Ellis, F-C Ekpe Udoh, C Kwame Brown
  • Cavaliers roster includes: SF Luke Walton
  • Clippers roster includes: G-F Nick Young
  • Lakers roster includes: PG Ramon Sessions, SF Christian Eyenga, PF Jordan Hill
  • Nets roster includes: F Gerald Wallace
  • Nuggets roster includes: C JaVale McGee, F-C Ronny Turiaf
  • Pacers roster includes: G Leandro Barbosa
  • Rockets roster includes: C Marcus Camby, PG Derek Fisher
  • Sixers roster includes: G-F Sam Young
  • Spurs roster includes: G-F Stephen Jackson
  • Trail Blazers roster includes: C Mehmet Okur, F Shawne Williams, C Hasheem Thabeet, G Jonny Flynn
  • Warriors roster includes: C Andrew Bogut, SF Richard Jefferson
  • Wizards roster includes: C Nene, F Brian Cook

The most notable changes weren't changes at all.  C Dwight Howard decided to surrender the chance at becoming a free agent; instead, he will play for the Orlando Magic through next season on a team good enough to make the playoffs and promptly lose to the Heat.  F Carmelo Anthony and F-c Amare Stoudemire stayed in New York after the Knicks and coach Mike D'Antoni parted ways, and they'll continue to use the time on defense to catch a breather.  And Deron Williams is still a member of the Nets — the team that thinks a move to Brooklyn will make them automatically better… and it will, because New Jersey is a sh**hole.
