NewsMore Rock Band 3 content planned
When Harmonix makes a promise, they mean it. At Rock Band 3's launch, the developer promised near-weekly DLC packs, and stayed true to their promise, as we've seen countless tracks hitting the in-game marketplace. During a recent GDC interview, Harmonix confirmed further DLC, which will add to their 3,500 song library.
Harmonix's John Drake told Joystiq, "We've been really pleased with the continued performance of Rock Band downloadable content. We've delivered over four years of weekly DLC and over 3,500 songs for the music platform, and we have no plans to stop weekly releases any time soon."
It's not only impressive that Harmonix has been able to maintain this release schedule, it's impressive that the tracks have been outstanding and worth purchasing. The DLC packs have spanned numerous genres and reached new demographics, but have all maintained the quality seen in the original retail tracks. We'll welcome new Rock Band 3 tracks with open arms, we just can't say that our wallets will say the same.
