NewsiPad 3 shipments slip to March 19th
The new iPad, or iPad 3, will officially release on March 16th, but strong pre-orders for the next-gen iPad have resulted in delayed delivery dates for all models
The delay, originally only for white 16GB and 64GB AT&T LTE models, has now spread to all iPad 3 models.
Demand for the new iPad will likely result in further shipping delays, so if you are planning on ordering the new iPad, you may want to head over the Apple pre-order page. In Europe, shipping dates for the new iPad have already slipped into two to three week delays.
New features in the iPad 3 include a Retina display packing 3.1 million pixels, improved five-megapixel iSight camera, 1080p video recording, voice dictation, and 4G LTE.
The new iPad prices start at $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and increases from there. Models with more space and 4G LTE will cost significantly more. Check out the full iPad 3 pricing breakdown here.
