The Sims 3: Showtime, the newest expansion pack for the beloved franchise, is now available nationwide in the United States for PC and Mac.
Showtime gives fans a new outlet to play with life in the glamorous world of Starlight Shores as you attempt to make it big in the world of performing. Stardom won't come easy, as you will attempt to make your rise to fame in The Sims 3 Showtime as a singer, magician, acrobat or DJ, and build skills necessary to put on a showstopping performance.

It allows you to create and control just about every aspect of life,” said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio. “With every game that we build in The Sims Studio, we want to empower players to explore, create, and share their own stories with the world. We believe that The Sims 3 Showtime truly evokes new ways to play with life.”
As part of the experience, you will fully customize your own performance from the stages to the actual lineup. Decorate your stage with fog machines, spotlights, and confetti, among other props to build the perfect set.
In addition, The Sims 3 Showtime introduces all-new features to allow you to connect with the rest of the Sims community. When starting the game, you will be given the option to log in and connect using your ‘My Page’ account information from www.TheSims3.com. By logging in, you will be able to view your player profile and wall, as well as access various other connected features such as messages to friends, friend requests and an all-new feature, SimPort.
The innovative SimPort feature will now enable players to send their Sims on tour to one another’s games. SimPort makes storytelling and sharing experiences with friends simple and fun. The use of SimPort leads to greater rewards, including stamps, simoleans, lifetime happiness and exclusive in-game content.
The Sims 3 Showtime is an expansion pack available for $39.99 on Mac or PC. It is available today in the US and will arrive throughout Europe this week.
In addition, The Sims 3 Showtime Katy Perry Collector’s Edition Expansion pack retails for $49.99 and includes special Katy Perry-themed in-game content and an exclusive poster.
