NewsSkyrim 1.5 update to feature all-new killcam
It looks like Bethesda may have prematurely announced some Skyrim 1.5 update information. Earlier today, they posted on their blog some information about the next Skyrim patch, update 1.5.
Although the blog post said the Skyrim 1.5 beta update was released on Steam, Bethesda has since removed the post, leading us to believe the beta has not yet been released. However, we were able to get some new details regarding the upcoming patch.
In the post they revealed the Skyrim 1.5 update will include an all-new killcams feature, including ones specific to ranged combat and magic. If you recall, these killcams are the same feature teased by Game Director Todd Howard in the Game Jam video during the DICE keynote. You can see them in action below at around the 20 minute mark.
It's a pretty cool feature. Now that the majority of game-breaking bugs that have been plaguing the game have been fixed, Bethesda can continue to work on new title updates that add new features to the game - hopefully more of what we've seen in the Game Jam.
The 1.5 beta patch will contain a number of new bug fixes as well, but Bethesda did not detail those yet. Expect to see them shortly if Bethesda decides to repost the original article. It should be noted that the killcam will be applied on all platforms: PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, although the 1.5 beta patch will only be available for Steam.
