NewsLollipop Chainsaw gets a release date
Grasshopper Manufacture recently found its poster girl for its upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer-style game, Lollipop Chainsaw, and now it's setting a release date. Gamers can look forward to sawing zombies' heads off come June 12 for North America and one day later, on June 13, for Europe.
The Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture game is also partially the brainchild of Hollywood director James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead), who helped create the characters and story.
Gamers who pre-order the title will receive a closet-full of costumes for Juliet Starling. With the disappointing sales of the developer's previous effort, Shadows of the Damned, close on the tail of Lollipop Chainsaw, will this new game help rocket Grasshopper Manufacture into stardom? We'll find out this summer.
One more thing. In the screenshot above is another look at Jessica Nigri, the winner of the "Search for Juliet" contest, with game composer Akira Yamaoka. Lucky girl.
