NewsSome cool games headed to Europe's Virtual Console
A recent press release from Nintendo of Europe indicates that there's a lot of cool content in store for the 3DS and Wii Virtual Console services. A slew of great games are getting the digital treatment, and we can only hope that we'll get to play these titles, as well.
The original Metroid will be getting its full release, originally only available to 3DS "ambassadors." Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters will also be landing in Europe along with Dr. Mario. Aside from those two Game Boy originals, the Sega Game Gear will get some 3DS representation, too, because Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Shinobi, and Dragon Crystal will be headed to Europe's 3DS Virtual Console.
The Wii Virtual Console will also be getting some sweet titles, most of which have already been released here in North America. Worth pointing out, however, is the fact that Europe's version of Street Fighter II will sport online multiplayer. I would be upset if I wasn't going to pick up Street Fighter X Tekken next week. Oh, and Europe is also getting Samurai Shodown IV, which was a pretty cool arcade fighter.
In related news, Japan's 3DS Virtual Console is getting Ganbare Geomon, also known as Mystical Ninja here in North America. Seriously, that's a lot of cool content for international digital markets. Here's hoping we get these games over here, too. I mean, come on, Sonic: Triple Trouble and Mystical Ninja!
