NewsMortal Kombat Komplete Edition launching next week
Warner Bros. and NetherRealm really unleashed something truly awesome last year. The publisher and developer gave gamers a special treat with Mortal Kombat, the latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise and reboot of the series. Hell, the game was so impressive that it was awarded a stellar score of 9 / 10 by yours truly.
Story mode in particular was a total blast, and it presented one of the best narratives in a fighting game ever. Add to that the actual gameplay, which was rock solid and a completely visceral thrill, and you've got one of the most memorable fighting games of the last few years. Yeah, Mortal Kombat is a pretty sick game.
If you have yet to play the game, though, I would suggest you do so, and soon. On February 28, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will land on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The disc will feature the main game, as well as its post-release DLC. This includes fighters Skarlett, Rain, Kenshi, and Freddy Krueger.
If you're a fan of fighting games, Mortal Kombat should definitely be in your collection. But even for gamers who totally suck at fighters (like me), this is still a worthwhile game because it's just so much damn fun. If you haven't already, be sure to pick it up this coming Tuesday.
