NewsSleeping Dogs screenshots look awesome
Quick history lesson. True Crime: Hong Kong was practically complete when Activision decided to can it. This resulted in a ton of disappointment for developer United Front Games as the studio was looking forward to releasing the game. Following the cancelation, Square Enix picked up the publishing rights to the game, but not the True Crime IP.
So now we have a game called Sleeping Dogs, published by Square Enix and developed by United Front Games. Normally, I would say there might be cause for concern regarding the game's quality, because these types of situations tend to be a bit strange, and when a game gets picked up by a new company, it isn't always a success.
This time, however, I can't exactly say that's the case for sure. Square Enix released some new screenshots of Sleeping Dogs, and it looks pretty cool. The images depict bloody hand-to-hand combat, fast vehicles, bright colors, a huge explosion, and ladies showing a bit of skin. Those are all good things, and the quality of the images is great, too.
You can check out the new screens below. Expect Sleeping Dogs to land on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC later this year. I'm pretty stoked about this game now, and I really hope Square Enix and United Front Games deliver an enjoyable open world action-adventure gaming experience that bleeds a ton of Hong Kong action style.
