NewsThe Amazing Spider-Man Game includes new 'Web Rush' game mechanic
In a Facebook Q&A, The Amazing Spider-Man lead designer Radolphe talked about an all-new gameplay mechanic being included in the game. It's called Web Rush and is said to give players "real-time navigational and combat choices".
Talking about the new mechanic, Radolphe explained, "Web Rush can be triggered ont he fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices, letting you pull off Spidey's signature moves like never before."
Radolphe didn't detail exactly how the new mechanic will work, but we can assume it will be fairly simplistic to use to ensure smooth and fluid combat and gameplay.
The Amazing Spider-Man game is being developed by Beenox, the same studio responsible for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. As a tie-in with the upcoming movie, the game takes place after the movie's events and is expected to be released this summer on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.
