Bigpoint has just began "space trials" for the newest class of ship in Battlestar Galactica Online, the Carrier. 

As the largest and most unique class of ships you can own, the Carriers are support and supply vessels for the fleet that can serve as a mobile outpost for nine Strike ships.  The Carriers can also repair and recharge resource for friendly vessels in flight and coordinate tactical offenses by calling out enemy targets.

The testing phase for the Carriers lasts until the end of February.  If you are level 30 or higher you can enter a lottery, by signing up here, to pilot the ships on the Kobal public beta server.

After the "space trial period", these ships will be made available to all players on all servers, provided you are level 40 or higher and have 400,000 cubits and 90,000 Merits.
