NewsMetro: Last Light delayed
I don't play too many first-person shooters. Part of the reason is because the genre doesn't really interest me. That said, I always make exceptions for games that look particularly cool. I played Rage, which was a lot of fun, and before that, I sunk plenty of hours playing Metroid Prime: Hunters on the Nintendo DS. Man, that game was fun!
Metro: Last Light is one of the few FPS titles that I'm actually pretty excited to play. The game's dark ambiance and horror elements really pique my interest, so suffice it to say I'll likely be picking it up at launch. Of course, if you were also planning on getting Metro: Last Light on its release date, you're going to have to wait a bit longer.
In a recent release schedule, THQ revealed that Metro: Last Light would launch sometime between January and March. The game was originally slated for launch toward the end of 2012, so it's not being drastically pushed back, but it's still a slightly lengthy wait.
I used to get annoyed with delays back when I was an idiot, but now I understand that publishers and developers usually push games back so they can fix any nasty bugs or glaring problems. Hey, if I have to wait a few extra months to play a game, but those few extra months allow the folks working on the game to deliver the best product possible, I'm all for it. That said, hurry up and get here, 2013!
