NewsTerraria gets a physical Collector's Edition
It's no secret that the indie title Terraria has been a success. Having launched in May 2011, the sandbox / action-RPG hybrid really delivered a memorable, addictive, and captivating experience. It was so impressive that it even captured the number three spot on GameZone's top 10 indie games of 2011 list.
Now Terraria will be getting the special edition treatment. As announced on Merge Games, Terraria Collector's Edition will launch on March 16. That's less than two months away!
So what makes this special edition so special? Well, aside from being a pretty, shiny physical copy of the excellent Terraria, there are also some goodies in store for gamers who buy it. Terraria Collector's Edition comes with a special in-game item, a poster, a key ring, trading cards, and a toy pickaxe. That's a lot of cool stuff, you guys!
Terraria Collector's Edition has been given a price tag of £19.95. Considering this is a tangible game that comes with some sweet extras, the bump in price is understandable. So far, Terraria has sold over 1 million copies. That's mighty impressive, and that number is sure to go up as a result of this snazzy special edition.
