NewsGuild Wars 2 open beta to begin in March, official release to be in 2012

ArenaNet President Mike O'Brien took to the internet, updating fans on the status of the highly anticipated Guild Wars 2 and its beta process.
In a Guild Wars 2 blog post today, O'Brien announced, "We recently finished our first closed beta test, and we're now ready to hold progressively larger events."
"In February we'll invite select press to participate in beta testing," he continued.
Shortly after, in March and April, ArenaNet plans on "aggressively" increasing the size of the Guild Wars 2 beta, hopefully giving many of you a chance to participate.
Of course, all of this is leading up to the release of the eagerly-awaited release of Guild Wars 2, which O'Brien confirmed will be later this year.
