NewsDiablo 3 release date "nearing", but still no official date
We finally have some good news for those of you eagerly awaiting Diablo 3; the game's release date is "nearing".
In a video directed towards Korean fans, game director Jay Wilson updated fans on the status of Diablo 3.
"We know you are very excited for Diablo III, and we want you to know that we appreciate your support and continuing patience," Wilson said.
"2012 will be a great year, because the Diablo series will finally make its long awaited return."
"We are currently working hard to deliver Diablo III to you and ensure that it lives up to your expectations. We plan to deliver nothing less than an epic gaming experience," he added.
Wilson concluded, "The release date is nearing, and we eagerly await your return as the heroes of Sanctuary. We wish each and everyone of you the very best in the new year."
Unfortunately, we still don't have a solid, official date for when the game will launch, but given the recently approved game rating in South Korea, and Activision Blizzard's upcoming 2011 Q4 Results Conference Call, we could be hearing an approximate release date for Diablo 3 on February 9th.
