Today not only marks the beginning of Public Beta for Starhawk on the PlayStation 3, but also the beginning of a countdown until the launch of the highly-anticipated PS3-exclusive.  Sony announced the official Starhawk release date set for May 8, 2012.  With the official launch date now set, PS3 users only have to wait a few months until the game releases.

Luckily, they can enjoy Public Beta for the time being.  Public Beta begins today for all PlayStation Plus subscribers and all private beta participants.  Everyone with a PlayStation Network account can get in on the Beta on February 21st.
