NewsFIFA 12 leads UK sales charts, Modern Warfare 3 surpassed by Battlefield 3
The numbers are in for UK sales as of the week ending January 7th and FIFA 12 remains the number one. EA's FIFA 12 held on to the top spot in the UK all-formats software chart, despite sales dropping by 27%.
It was a slow week in general, but EA has to be happy with the results as they took first and second place. Battlefield 3 replaced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as the number two.
Rounding out the top five were Just Dance 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It should also be noted that Star Wars: The Old Republic, BioWare's new MMORPG, has dropped 28 places making only the top 40 list. But keep in mind that GfK Charttrack only follows boxed products - while many sales for SWTOR have been digital.
Below are the top 10 games, according to GfK ChartTrack:
- FIFA 12
- Battlefield 3
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
- Just Dance 3
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Zumba Fitness
- Need for Speed: The Run
- Saints Row: The Third
- RAGE
- Assassin's Creed: Revelations
