Rumor: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 in the works

According to a Tweet from David Cox, a Konami producer working with the Lords of Shadow series, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 may not be out of the question for 2012.

The producer replied to a fan's article of 24 games that will "define gaming in 2012," saying, "Tweeted without comment :)." This could easily be overanalyzed, and prove to be nothing, or it could possibly a hint that Casltevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is coming, and coming sooner than we all may be suspecting. Cox, though, has teased Castlevania clues in the past, which eventually turned out to be something, so it's vital to keep that in mind.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was a surprisingly fun game that flew under the radar, even after its release. The series definitely deserves a sequel, and with some marketing, it could be a promising title, whether or not we see it in 2012 or beyond.
