Mass Effect 3 to be more difficult than previous games

If you thought the first two Mass Effect games were too easy, then you are in for a treat with Mass Effect 3. BioWare admitted in a feature preview with @Gamer that, "Veteran difficulty from Mass Effect 1 and 2 will be on par with normal difficulty in Mass Effect 3."

To help offset the increased difficulty, BioWare has included a new multiplayer game mode, "Galaxy at War". While Galaxy at War does fill the multiplayer void that fans have been asking for for a long time, it's not just being tacked onto the single-player campaign.

"It will serve to flesh out the storyline and enhance your chances of standing victorious at the end of the game."

Don't expect an easy victory in mutliplayer, however. The article explains that a "new AI system allows enemies to work together in combat, flanking you and rolling for cover in tight spots. They’ll also drop smoke bombs to cloud your view of the battlefield, and can repair fallen soldiers on the field."

BioWare didn't completely leave you hanging though. Shepard is now more agile than ever before. He can roll, dive, maneuver turns while in cover, and defeat enemies with all-new melee attacks.

Even if you aren't a fan of multiplayer, you may be interested in checking it out as it can help you max out your "Galactic Readiness" level by applying every possible asset - people, weapons, resources, armies, and fleets - in the final battle against the Reapers.
