Sony Tablet S Gets DualShock 3 Update in Japan
One of the reasons I personally don't enjoy tablet gaming is due to the sole reliance on touchscreen controls. Don't get me wrong, touchscreens are awesome, but I find it hard to play certain games using virtual buttons. It looks as though Sony is attempting to remedy this issue, though.
A recent update allows for DualShock 3 functionality to the Sony Tablet S, translates Engadget. The update is currently only available in Japan, but I expect we'll see it make its way to North America and Europe. I mean, it has to, right?
You'll initially be prompted to use a USB cable to pair your DualShock 3 controller to your Table S, but after that, it's smooth sailing. Using a wireless PlayStation 3 controller to game on a tablet device? I can dig it!
Those who download the current Japan-only update will also be treated to a free Ape Escape mini-game collection download. There is some bad news, though. It seems there's no update to game using a traditional controller on the Sony Tablet P. Well, that kind of blows. But hey, at least it works with the Tablet S! That's something, am I right?
