NewsPokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition Is a Weird Crossover
Pokemon Black and White may have been awesome RPGs for the DS, but if you're a Pokefan, chances are you're already looking forward to the next entry in the series. Well, you may be surprised by what that next entry is going to be. According to Andriasang, the next title to star everyone's favorite portable critters is going to be a ... crossover?
The Pokemon Company and Tecmo Koei are joining forces to create Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition. That's a pretty strange combination, and the only thing these two series really share is the whole turn-based gameplay thing. Other than that, they're distinctly different and offer different overall experiences for players.
It's strange to think that we're going to see Pokemon in a game full of historical Japanese themes. But hey, if the devs can make it work, I think it could make for an interesting game. How the two series will play off each other is still unknown, but it's kind of fun to think about the possibilities.
Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition is due out in spring 2012 for the DS. No, that's not a typo. I didn't mean the 3DS. This crossover title is really going to launch for the DS. Too much confusing stuff all in one post.
