Major Nelson has revealed the latest Xbox LIVE activivity for the week of November 21st.  The Xbox 360 Top LIVE Titles, based on Unique Users, revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was unshockingly the most played game on Xbox LIVE.

What is shocking, however, is that two of this year's biggest blockbuster titles, Skyrim and Battlefield 3, have failed to surpass even the older Call of Duty.  According to Nelson, Call of Duty: Black Ops was the 2nd most played game on Xbox LIVE.

Rounding out the top five was FIFA 12.

If anything, this list should prove just how popular Activision's Call of Duty title is among Xbox 360 owners.  Many say Call of Duty's more "arcade-like" playstyle make it more enjoyable on console than other shooters, like Battlefield 3.  But the fact that four of the top 20 most played games are from Activision's blockbuster shooter franchise is a testament to the replay value of the Call of Duty games.
