NewsMicrosoft Sponosored Trip to CES 2012 Hinting Possible Xbox 720 Announcement?
Microsoft made available today a sweepstakes for a chance to win a free trip for two to CES 2012 through their Xbox Fan page. The sweepstakes is a sponsored trip for you and one other to the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow.
The prize includes round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, passes to the CES keynote and show floor, hotel accomodations at THe Palazzo Las Vegas, a digital camera and $500 in spending money, and more!
The sweepstakes starts today and ends December 12, 2011 at 11:58 PM PST. It is open to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia, 21 and older.
More important than the actual trip is what this means for Microsoft and the future of the Xbox console. While the sweepstakes doesn't mention any news of the Xbox 720, it could definitely hint that Microsoft is planning to announce some big news at CES 2012.
Given the recent rumors of an Xbox 720 announcement at CES 2012, it could be possible that Microsoft is attempting to increase hype for the event.
If Microsoft is planning a major announcement, it may have nothing to do with the Xbox 720 at all. Instead, it could be about the rumored Xbox Kinect 2, and the supposed lip-reading feature leaked by a source close to Eurogamer.
The rumor mill is in full motion and anticipation of an Xbox 720 announcement at CES 2012 will only grow as we get closer to the actual event date. Be sure to check back during the date of the event for announcements.
