NewsRocksteady "Looking at Options" for Batman: Arkham City Sequel
The release of Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to Arkham Asylum, was met with rave reviews from both fans and critics. Here at GameZone we gave it a lovely score. In short, it was everything you look for in a sequel: bigger, smoother gameplay, better graphics, and things of that sort. If you recall, Arkham Asylum dropped a hint of a sequel in the form secret wall revealing a hidden blueprint of Gotham City. But what about Arkham City? What can fans expect to find that may point at a potential sequel, or threequel.
When Rocksteady's Sefton Hill, the game director for Arkham City, was asked by Game Informer if he hid a "clue in this one", he wasn't very quick to spill the beans, but did hint at a probable follow-up game.
"We're still looking at options."
As far as secrets that may reveal what comes next, he responded, "I will say that there are lots of secrets hidden in this game. A ton of stuff." Whether or not these secrets translate into another game is yet to be seen, but given the success of both Batman titles, I think it's safe to assume another one is in the works.
