Two Razer Blade Prototypes Stolen

It looks like the gaming industry doesn't only have to worry about digital thefts anymore.  According to a statement issued by Razer, two of the Razer Blade prototypes were stolen from their lab over the weekend.

For those of you who haven't heard, the Razer Blade laptop features all the frills you'd expect from a top-of-the-line machine, including a powerful i7 processor and the latest graphics technology, though somehow it's all been crammed into a form just 0.88inches thick, and weighing just about 7lbs.  For all intents and purposes, it's one of the ultimate gaming rigs.

Well, it looks like a couple of gamers, or thieves looking to make a quick buck, have broken into the Razer offices and stolen two of these laptops.

Razer released a statement via Facebook asking for any help or information anyone may have on the incident.

"Over the weekend of 11/4/11, we had a break-in at one of our Razer offices. Two Razer Blade prototypes were stolen from our Bay area R&D lab."

"As you can imagine, the return of these prototype units is very important to the company. We have already reported this to the authorities who are working closely with us on this matter."

"We take this act of theft seriously and would like to appeal for its return and discourage anyone from buying the Razer Blade prototypes from the perpetrators, whether online or otherwise, as they are stolen property."
