Perhaps Battlefield 3 didn’t sell as many copies as expected in the United States.  By the end of November, the numbers were at 2 million copies sold.  While 2 million copies is still an impressive number, it is not quite the 5 million sold and 10 million shipped that EA claimed originally.  These numbers are based off the NPD though and they are only tracked in the US.  Battlefield was launched worldwide.  On a side note, Battlefield 3 on, the Xbox 360 outsold both PS3 and PC combined. 

According to the NPD, here are the top ten games of October:

1. Battlefield 3
2. Batman: Arkham City
3. NBA 2K12
4. Rage
5. Just Dance 3
6. Dark Souls
7. Madden NFL 12
8. Forza Motorsport 4
9. Gears of War 3
10. FIFA Soccer 12
