NewsCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Says "No" to Dutch Porn
Activision is definitely throwing their money around with the latest in the Modern Warfare franchise, throwing every manner of party, hoe-down, shin-dig and hootenanny this side of the Tennessee river (also: my lingo is archaic). Point is, there's plenty of MW3 events to go around, unless of course you happen to be a Dutch porn star.
Kim Holland, porn star and adult entertainment mogul, was recently invited to the Dutch VIP celebration of Modern Warfare 3. Upon RSVPing to the event, the organizers re-negged on their invitation, who told her "'The American publisher of Modern Warfare 3 has indicated that they prefer no representatives of the adult entertainment industry at the party."
As some of you may be aware, the rest of the world has no idea why we're so okay with seeing heads explode, yet so repulsed at the mere thought of the idea that two consenting adults might let their naughty bits flap around. Kim Holland has responded to the controversy with a blog post entitled "Modern Warfare 3: a Massacre Rather than a Sperm Shower."
We're going to assume something was lost in translation with that title. Point is, Activision prefers to keep its porn far away from its guns. Which seems a smart decision when you think about it.
