Gears of War 3 ‘Horde Command Pack’ DLC Delayed

It looks like Gears of War 3 fans are going to have to wait a little longer for the arrival of their first downloadable content.  Originally slated for a November 1st release, "Horde Command Pack", the first Gears of War 3 DLC, was aimed at bolstering the very popular Horde 2.0 Mode.

According to Community Manager Will Kinsler, aka Raczilla, the Horde Command Pack release for Gears of War 3 is "temporarily delayed due to a technical issue."  Announced on the Epic Games forums, Kinsler went on to say, "We apologize to those of you who are anxiously awaiting to play. We know this is disappointing news as we’ve seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content."

Though Kinsler didn't give exact specifics on the technical issue he did say that folks are "working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack."

Unfortunately, Kinsler offered no timetable for when the issue would be fixed, but ensured us that "The Epic Games Community team will stick around and keep you posted with any further information."

Officially announced back on October 4th, Horde Command Pack looked to add three new maps to Horde 2.0, including a revamp of the Blood Drive map seen in Gears of War 2.  In addition, the delayed DLC will eventually add new fortification upgrades, new characters, and new weapon skins.
