NewsMinecraft Coming to Xbox 360 in Spring 2012
It's officially been confirmed. Minecraft will be landing on Xbox Live in Spring 2012, though the exact date has yet to be revealed. Announced earlier on the Mojang blog, Minecraft will be playable on the Xbox 360 at MineCon in November.
Though the event celebrates the official launch of Minecraft's PC version, fans attending the MineCon will get some hands-on time with the Xbox 360 version. Taking place in Vegas on November 18th and 19th, MineCon is the first convention dedicated to all things Minecraft. In addition to Minecraft on XBLA, the smash-hit indie adventure game also just released a Minecraft - Pocket Edition for Android phones and has planned releases for iOS devices.
Mojang also has plans to have a playable demo of what they hope to be their next big hit, Scrolls. Scrolls is a digital-based card game where you fight to outmaneuver your opponent on the battlefield using the destructive powers in your collection of magical scrolls. This game should not be confused with The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim from Bethesda.
