Get an early preview of what it'll be like to race across the country from San Francisco to New York in an illicit high-stakes racing competition.  PlayStation 3 owners will get to play as Jack, a marked man who's only way out is to battle 200 other racers for a cool $25 million dollar prize.

Today, PS3 owners can get behidn the wheel in the Need for Speed: The Run demo now available on the PlayStaiton Store.  Featuring the Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboni and the brand-new Porsche Carrera S, the demo lets you take these bad boys for a test drive in two locations set in the U.S.

Jockey for position through the sweeping Nevada highways in Desert Hills.  Meanwhile, Independence Pass presents an entirely different challenge as you not only compete against other drivers, but race against the forces of Mother Nature.  As an avalanche bears down on you, you must avoid falling boulders and an onslaught of snow. 

All of your times are tracked using Need For Speed’s Autolog feature, allowing you to challenge your PSN friends and beat their times.

By pre-ordering Need for Speed: The Run on PlayStation 3, you will automatically get seven exclusive supercars to use.  Open up your garage and you will find:
