Rumors that past Devil May Cry titles would be getting the HD treatment have been circulating for some time now. At first, it was all inside gossip mentioned by a reliable source. It didn't take long for the ESRB to pretty much confirm that we'd be getting some sort of Devil May Cry HD compilation when it listed ratings for the games.
Now, however, we've gotten the news straight from Capcom. According to the publisher, gamers can expect Dante's previous adventures to get a visual makeover sometime next year. Nothing outside of a graphical overhaul has been mentioned at this time, though we can all expect Achievements and Trophies.
Officially titled Devil May Cry HD Collection, the disc will include Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition. The three-pack will be priced at $39.99, which isn't shabby at all. Personally, I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this collection and playing the heck out of these three games.
Devil May Cry HD Collection will launch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Yes, gamers who never got the chance to play these titles because they hate Sony will now be able to play them on their Xbox 360. Watch out for more news regarding this compilation as we get closer to 2012.
