Amazon has revealed the cover of the upcoming novel Battlefield 3 The Russian. Based on DICE's upcoming first person shooter video game, Battlefield 3, the novel follows Dmitri "Dima" Mayakovsky on his missions. Written by Andy McNab, it is the sequal to the singleplayer campaign of Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 The Russian will release on October 25, coinciding with the launch of Battlefield 3. The Russian can be pre-ordered for just $10 on Amazon and other online retailers.

Look familiar? That's because it's the same damn Battlefield 3 image seen on the game cover, wallpapers, mouse pads, and billboards. Honestly, doesn't DICE have any other stock images or anything? I'd like to meet the person in charge of their graphic design and ask him what he's doing with the rest of his time. I guess finding the right font to write the names Andy McNab and Peter Grimsdale on the cover takes quite a while. Next time just use everyone's favorite Papyrus font. Go ahead and scoff, it worked for Avatar.
