New Minecraft Dragon Video, Second Screenshot Released
Loud-mouthed Notch has been hard at work trying to get under the skin of Bethesda/Zenimax. A few days ago, Notch announced dragons were coming to Minecraft. In a blatant low-blow attempt at Bethesda, Minecraft is adding dragons, the focal point of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. While there have been talks of bringing dragons to Minecraft even before Skyrim was announced, Notch is clearly taking shots at Bethesda/Zenimax for the whole "Scrolls" trademark case.
Regardless of his reasoning behind implementing dragons, they do seem pretty cool. Last week Notch revealed a first look at what a dragon in Minecraft would look like.
Since then, Notch has been hard at work, adding scales, black tint, and purple eyes to the Ender dragon as he called it on Twitter. Apparently, Notch has made some progress, releasing a second screenshot of the dragon with bigger wings.
Look at that mighty dragon soaring over Minecraft. Mighty indeed. Notch did announced that he would be animating it immediately. Looks like it didn't take too long for him to get started on that, as he updated us with a video showing his progress. It's a little hard to see, but in the distance you can see a gray dragon flying through the black background.
It's the typical Notch reveal. Just enough to get you curious, but not enough to really show anything. At least we know that the Ender dragons are real.
