all the excitement of the popular Fox TV show
Kids, get ready to outwit your
parents as ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?(TM) makes its mobile debut in the
United States. The mobile game will incorporate all the charm, humor and
deceptively difficult questions of the wildly popular FOX game show from Mark
Burnett Productions in a portable format optimized for the mobile experience.
"ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th
GRADER?(TM) for mobile is the perfect opportunity to entertain the whole family
while on the go,” said Fox Mobile Entertainment Senior Vice President, Mitch
Feinman.
As in the show, the ARE YOU SMARTER
THAN A 5th GRADER?(TM) mobile game asks a series of questions ranging from
subjects like U.S. History, math and social studies. If a player performs well
they can work their way to the $1 million question*, however if they falter
they’re forced to utter the unenviable phrase, "I am not smarter than a 5th
grader.” To aid the player in their pursuit, simulated students provide "peek,”
"copy” and "save” assistance just as they do on the show. Additionally, sound
effects from the series complete the experience.

United States in the coming weeks.

(8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) as the show enrolls a new class of 5th graders chosen from
a nationwide search.
About ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th
GRADER?(TM) Acclaimed comedian Jeff Foxworthy is at the head of the class as
host of this hit game show, which measures adults’ knowledge, or lack thereof –
as revealed by how much they’ve forgotten since grammar school. On October 4,
the show will enroll a new class of 5th graders chosen from a nationwide search.
Adult contestants find themselves revisiting their youth in a classroom setting,
tackling subjects they’ve already been taught – from art to geography and math
to social studies. When test questions derived from actual textbooks used in the
1st through 5th grades prove to be too challenging, contestants are not alone;
there is a way to "cheat" in this classroom. Adults can get some elementary help
by "peeking" or "copying" off of or being "saved" by their actual 5th graders to
help them graduate toward the top prize of $1 million.
