THQ
to Bring Desktop Tower Defense to Nintendo DS in March 2009

Online Game Phenomenon to Appear
on Handheld System For the First Time

THQ Inc. today announced that
Desktop Tower Defense, the highly addictive online game, is currently in
development for Nintendo DS. The original online version of the game has been
downloaded over 66 million game plays since its release in March 2007 and has
received numerous accolades including Game of the Year awards.

Desktop Tower Defense for Nintendo
DS holds true to the original game’s highly addictive strategic game play.
Players tactically place protective towers of differing defensive and offensive
capabilities throughout the playing field, all while invaders known as “creeps”
attempt to march across the screen. Through this strategic placement, players
carefully create mazes to ambush the invaders and protect their holdings through
hundreds of challenging levels. Battles take place against creeps of different
offensive capabilities including flying and morph invaders, as well as those
with immunity and spawning powers.

Millions of enthusiastic Desktop
Tower Defense online fans will now be able to create and share their own
addictive experience by drawing their own towers and designing unique
unrelenting “creeps” using the DS stylus, for a game experience of unending
possibilities.

Desktop Tower Defense is expected to
be available in spring 2009.
