The Left 4 Dead blog has a few details on the latest mutation for the survival horror game. Called Bleed Out Versus, Survivors in this mode have no permanent health. Instead, health is temporary and slowly trickles away.

Valve says that even if you don't normally play Versus, Blood Out Versus is a great mutation to try, as the action is frantic and fast, and team wipes are always just a few seconds away.

The new mutation is now available through a Steam update.
