More Mass Effect 2 DLC Confirmed

An announcement has been made via Mass Effect 2’s in-game Cerberus Network regarding future DLC. The Cerberus Network has been a staple of the ME2 title screen for the last year, providing players with useful info and fun tidbits about the Mass Effect universe. With the one-year anniversary of the game’s release on January 24, Cerberus Network will be going on hiatus.

“Daily postings will cease except for three weeks in 2011: a week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3. The CDN team thanks fans for their attention, comments, and feedback (both in and out of character!). We are sorry to go, but we had fun — we hope you did, too!”

It’s not made clear when the DLC will be released, so it may be a bit of a wait. That said, if I had to guess I’d say this is the DLC Bioware was talking about when they said there would be content that bridged the gap between the two games.
