June 2010 NPD Results Xbox 360 S Only Slightly Ahead

The NPD results for June 2010 are in, and it seems like Microsoft’s console has taken the lead, but only by a hair. This spike in sales came from the new 360 model, but it’s actually a less significant jump than we expected. However, this may have more to do with limited supplies than it does with the demand. We may see the full effect of the slimmer system through July.

As far as software goes, Red Dead Redemption (360) remains on top as the biggest game of 2010 thus far and Super Mario Galaxy 2 is just fighting for that first place spot. Have a look at the numbers below:
