Final Fantasy XIV New Trailer, Open Beta Next Week

Looking forward to next month's Final Fantasy XIV release? Yah, I am too. Especially after playing the closed beta for the past few weeks, and now luckily you can participate to, assuming that the beta client doesn't crash of course!

As the spiritual successor to Square's first MMORPG Final Fantasy XI, Square recently stayed on their official Twitter that the open beta will start September 1st at 11:00 am. Joining the announcement was a brand-new trailer for the game, featuring a theme song written by Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu and performed by Suzan Calloway.

The game is due to hit the shelves on September 30, with the collector's edition arriving earlier on September 22nd.
