DotEmu Weekend Sale Now Running on GoG

Most weekends, Good Old Games has a sale that’s worth sharing with you. I’m not sure that that’s the case this week, but for the sake of consistency I’m mentioning it anyway. This week’s sale features four very different game packs from DotEmu, and the best part is they’re all $2.99.

First up is Gobliiins, which collects three point-and-click adventures into one pack. The collection includes Gobliiins, Gobliins 2: Prince Buffoon, and Goblins Quest 3. I’ve never heard of it, but it’s apparently a very twisted and humorous series.

Next up is Ishar Compilation, which collects Crystals of Arborea, Ishar: Legend of the Fortress, Ishar 2: Messengers of Doom and Ishar 3: The Seven Gates of Infinity. Basically, for $3 you get an old-school fantasy dungeon crawler overload.

Jumping genres again, GoG is also offering Raptor: Call of the Shadows, a 2D shooter. This is one I remember, and if you don’t have enough non-bullet-hell 2D shooters in your life, this is the one to get.

Robinson’s Requiem and Deus round out the list. Have you ever felt the need to play anything super weird and punishing? Ever spend a weekend with a roguelike or push your way through Demon’s Souls? Then this sounds like something you’ll want to check out.

Video games became an amazing, artful, interactive story-driven medium for me right around when I played Panzer Dragoon Saga on Sega Saturn. Ever since then, I've wanted to be a part of this industry. Somewhere along the line I, possibly foolishly, decided I'd rather write about them than actually make them. So here I am.
