CYGAMZ NEW YEARS WEEKEND INTERACTIVE GAMING TOURNAMENTS ANNOUNCED; PLAYERS CAN WIN CASH AND PRIZES
Prizes include a Counter-Strike 5v5 team competition grand prize of $3,000, and a Need for Speed: Carbon 1v1 first prize of an Xbox 360® Bundle Pack, and other valuable prizes
CyGamZ™, a first of its kind, state-of-the-art interactive gaming venue located at Showcase Cinemas Ann Arbor, Michigan announced today the launch of two CyGamZ™ New Years’ Weekend Tournaments. The Counter-Strike 1.6 5v5 team tournament offers PC gamers the opportunity to compete on the venue’s state-of-the-art Alienware equipment. The Need for Speed: Carbon 1v1 tournament will be played on Xbox 360® consoles displayed on 42” plasma screens. Players have an opportunity to win cash and other prizes during the tournaments which take place beginning Friday, December 29, 2006, and ending on Monday, January 1, 2007.

Heat one of the Counter-Strike competition begins on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM. The competition continues until a winner is determined on Sunday, December 31, 2006.
Open Qualifying Heats for the Need for Speed tournament will be run on Friday, December 29, 2006, and Saturday, December 30, 2006. Players who post the top 64 Qualifying Heat times will race in the Championship Battle Finals on Monday, January 01, 2007.
Prizes for the Counter-Strike competition include $3,000 Cash, Xbox 360® Bundle Packs, CyGamZ™ Gaming Time, movie tickets and more.

The entry fee for the Counter-Strike tournament is $30.00 per player for a five player team. The Need for Speed entry fee is $5.00 per Qualifying Heat. Counter-Strike players must be 17 or older, with proof of age, to compete.
The registration deadline for Counter-Strike 1.6 5v5 is Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 3:00pm.
