A Tale In The Desert Launching In European Market MDO Games to host German-language version of eGenesis’ online RPG

PITTSBURGH, PA - December 9, 2002 – eGenesis (http://www.egenesis.com), creator of the massively multiplayer online RPG A Tale In The Desert (http://www.ataleinthedesert.com), has signed MDO Games (http://www.mdo-games.de) to publish and host a German version of the game. The German version entitled Kemet: A Tale In The Desert is slated for release in January of 2003.

The German-language game client will be available for download from the MDO Games, with a monthly fee of ç13 to join the action. While both versions share the same features, challenges, and storylines, German players will have their own game world hosted on an independent server.

“We selected MDO Games because they are the perfect partner, “says eGenesis president Andrew Tepper. “Several publishers approached us to do localized versions of the game, but only MDO Games was able to show us that they were serious gamers and that they truly understood our concept.”

Set in a world modeled after Egypt of the pharaohs, A Tale In The Desert lets players work to create the perfect society by mastering the Seven Disciplines of Man. Gamers advance not through combat but by completing quests, tests, and mini-games related to each of the seven disciplines.

The game also boasts features never seen before in a massively multiplayer online game: a robust, player-driven legal system that controls many of the rules of gameplay, and a range of inventive and cooperative tasks: sculpture, gardening, beer and wine making and even fireworks contests.
