New Plane Available for Use
The second Secret Weapons Over Normandy Xbox Live
content package has officially been released and features a new plane available
for use in Instant Action, Two Player Missions, and the Single Player Campaign!
Adding to the growing roster of Imperial Japanese aircraft, the Ki-61, known as
the "Tony", was designed with speed and power in mind. Use that to your
advantage, as ace SWON pilots can now download a brand new single player mission
named "Last Chance!" Flying Japan's latest fighter, the Ki-61 "Tony", you have
been tasked with clearing the skies of the deadly American Corsairs in order to
give the fragile G4M1 "Betty" Bombers a chance to hit the carrier. Also added to
Xbox Live is an updated camo pattern for the Betty Bomber.
Xbox pilots, log into Live and download today!
In other news from the front line... for SWON fans interested in seeing a number
of these historic WWII aircrafts in person, The Air Museum - Planes of Fame
located at the Chino Airport in Southern California, will commemorate 100 Years
of Flight during a special event on Saturday, December 6, 2003. The program will
begin at 10:00 a.m. with a seminar discussing the impact of aviation during the
100 years since the Wright brother's first powered flight and will conclude with
a Warbird flight demonstration.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see a number of authentic aircrafts
featured in Secret Weapons Over Normandy including the P-51 Mustang as well as
the Supermarine Spitfire. "The Air Museum - Planes of Fame is really excited
about Secret Weapons Over Normandy from LucasArts," said Mark Foster, Director
of Corporate Relations. "Not only has the team captured the excitement of World
War II aerial combat with this game, they've also digitized the living history
of these aircraft for future generations."
The development team at LucasArts and Totally Games worked closely with The Air
Museum to ensure that Secret Weapons Over Normandy contained the most realistic
sounds and a truly authentic look and feel. For an inside look into the close
collaboration, view The Air Museum behind-the-scenes video on the official SWON
